I think this is some sort of 1/24 Strombecker car . An F1 , Grand Prix ? They all look so similar ! Any Ideas ?

1/32 Indy Roadster... The Strombecker 1/32 cars were generally a bit oversized, probably closer to 1/30. The kit came with a lot of accessories to let you build it six different ways.

That is a Watson  roadster built to run the Indianapolis 500. A.J. Watson was a long time Indianapolis 500 mechanic and team leader. Starting in 1956 he started designing his own Indy race cars, based on the old Kurtis Kraft roadsters.

Later, Kurtis streamlined the nose a bit;

Eventually, Kurtis adopted a "droop snoot" design, which carried over to Watson's version. Also, Watson went to a twin nostril style radiator inlet.

And if you wanted your car to really "fly", you could go with wings as this racer did.
