Sooo, now we need a rule to limit a slot car to 1 motor? Because if 2 motors, even with 1 not driving the axle, is "possibly" better, why not 3 or 5 or 10 really tiny ones placed around the car to improve it? Why use a flywheel when cans can be changed in size and weight and diameter? What if 2 dummy motors are connected together to change the gyroscopic effect? Then why not 3 or... Or one motor turning a flywheel one direction and another turning a flywheel another direction? Or like an old governor have moving arms and springs where it changes diameter?
The quest for speed is what destroyed wing cars...
Lots of old boxes in the corner of garages & back of closets because people got tired of the insanity when they simply wanted to race a slot car.
Seems like a great way to drive people to run a HO or Scalextric. We need rules to retain people not drive them away.
I have raced karts for a long time. I have a saying... I didn't quit karting, karting quit me...
Do we really want to go down this road?
