Sorry but this race has been CANCELLED due to not having the owners required number of 14 racer pre-sign-ups.

 

 
In three weeks we are planning to race at Hobbies, Slot Cars and RC Emporium in S. Daytona, FL, on Sunday, July 21.
 
There will be two classes run on the six-lane King track, F1 and Can-Am in that order.
 
***However I have been informed by the track owner that if we can not get AT LEAST 14 racers to pre-sign up by July 14, the race will be cancelled! If you can guarantee (within reason) that you can attend this race, please sign up below (no pre-payment needed) and I will add your name to the list.***

This six-lane blue King track offers a unique driving experience of mostly flat but very fast large radius corners.
Note that due to its six-lane configuration we will run 4 minute heats per lane to achieve the usual 24 minutes of total race time.
 
Doors will open at 9 AM.
Pit pass - $8, race entry is $15 per class. 
Tech for GT Coupe will open at 10:15. Qualifying at 10:30. 
Following the F1 race, we will open tech for Can-Am.

I also sent it to John Thompson. I know he just built/re-built a Can-Am chassis but hasn't sorted it out yet. He said that he's planning to go.

Hope this race doesn't get cancelled, I will not be able to make it due to being scheduled to work that weekend. 
I'm sure some of the local racers will be attending? Perhaps getting a list from Greg on his side may help.

Only a few more days for potential sign-ups for this race before we will have to cancel the event. Please sign up ASAP if you plan to attend and also reach out to anyone you know that might be interested to attend.

I hate to do this but due to the requirement (by the track owner) of needing at least 14 racers pre-signed up for the July 21 GRRR race at Daytona, the race is officially CANCELLED!!
