This D3 Hardbody race report is the 3rd race day held at Piranha Raceway. The other two race day reports are posted at our Smugmug website (see link below for access to these race reports).
It's the 5th Sunday in June 2024. Time for another D3 Hardbody race at Piranha Raceway in Whittier, CA.
Another lite turnout of hardbody racers today.
First race of the day is for GTPs. 11 entries, so we had two races in order to have enough turn marshalls for each race.
The first GTP race had 6 entries and the second race had the remaining 5 racers.
The GTP race results were combined to determine the final results.
Victor Dubrowsky was 1st, Mike Tipps 2nd and Walter Baynes 3rd.
The GTP "Racer Handicap" podium had Victor 1st, Walter 2nd and Mike 3rd.
After a quick lunch, the Mixed race was next. 10 entries. Again two races with 5 racers each. This was a "Lap Differential" race.
After both races were run, the combined results for the Lap Differential podium had Tim Herrera 1st, Eddie Shorer 2nd and Mike Tipps 3rd.
The "Racer's Handicap podium had Tim 1st, Walter Baynes 2nd and Jim Wiseman 3rd.
