I use a Paasche Millennium airbrush and an inexpensive compressor from Harbor Freight.

Faskolor is very similar to (same as???) Createx Airbrush Colors so I use Createx 4011 Reducer and mix it to about the consistency of skim milk. That allows me to spray at about 10 psi to 20 psi.

I have used a $100 Harbor Freight coupon set up all the way up to the expensive Paasche and Iwata. My current is a Masters. In reality, any airbrush will spray Faskolor. Getting the viscosity (like milk) and the air pressure 15-20 psi is a good starting point. After that, it's all practice.

I use a Badger Patriot. I don’t do any fancy stuff, so it’s fine to just get an even coat on a body.

My painting requirements are exactly the same as Dennis. I recently bought a Paasche H-3 and it is great. nice smooth paint job and easy to clean up.

I suspect a Badger 350 would work just as well, but have not used one.

Anyone who knows how to mask well can also get those "fancy paint jobs" with a single action brush. The Binks Wren was my work horse from 1970-2005 when I sprayed lacquer exclusively. I still have it backed away with a Badger compressor.

Last year I purchased this kit ($150) to learn how to airbrush.

Has been great for me....

Started racing slot cars back at the old Grand Avenue Raceway on Grand Ave. in Chicago, Illinois.
Started with Group 12, moved up to Group 27 and Open.
Still have my two cars and over a dozen arms.
Just recently discovered a track local to me and am looking forward to meeting up with the old timers and new people in the hobby.

Dave, when you say window cleaner, do you mean a product such as Windex or do you use windshield washer fluid?
