Drivers start your engines!

 

From the big races at Charlotte Motor Speedway to the small dirt tracks, racing is in our blood and the competition is fierce.

 

You can be a part of the action too... I'm talking about slot car racing.

 

You may remember the toy... snapping the track together to turn the living room floor into a racetrack.

 

You can relive those memories at The Slot Car Track in Kannapolis.

Probably the best promotional video for slot racing I have seen in ages. This is what we need. Get the local PBS or public access channel to run it at news time. Show the world that:
 

• Slot racing is one of the most affordable hobbies.
• Slot racing promotes family involvement.
• Slot racing is an active hobby. More than just sitting at a table assembling plastic models.
• Slot racing is a competitive hobby that includes local, national, and international series.
• Slot racing is a year-round hobby. Anyone can give up a few summer evenings. Or crappy winter days.

Nice to see one of my tracks on TV. I wonder where that track (it is one of my Grandstand models) was originally.

That track was at REM in Mentor ,Ohio a number of years ago.
