Doors will open at 8 am.

Pit pass - $8.
Race entry $15 per class.
If all three classes are entered pit pass fee will be waived.

The facility looks fantastic and a Gerding King track has been installed to replace the previous King.

We will run GT Coupe (Hillclimb), Stock Cars (Hillclimb), and Can-Am (King) in this order.

30 min following GT Coupe we will open tech for the Stockcars to be run on the Hillclimb.
30 min following Stockcars we will open tech for Can-Am to be run on the new King track.

NOTE: We are planning to have the GT Coupe and Stockcar races on the Hillclimb, but if that's not what the racers want to do we

could hold those races on the King.  So bring both your road course and King Stockcars just in case.

I think the King is ready.  I saw on the track's Facebook page that they're going to be racing on the "new" Gerding King tonight.

I spent some time at this raceway in March while I was visiting my cousin in Florida. The place is HUGE.

My Dad and I are looking forward to this event! See Everyone there.
I will be at the track this Saturday for some Gerding King Testing

We have a potential Traveler from GA for this event so maybe we can get the Classes/Tracks more set in stone.

I ran GT Coupe on the new King at Vero Beach. It's going to be a fast track, smooth with good bite, could run all classes on this track.

Hey, I heard something about only running the inside 6 lanes at the Vero Beach Race. I'm glad I can't make it if that's true.

Why would anyone propose this. There's 8 lanes for a reason, to test your skill across the track. Why would anyone want a honeymoon race at any track with 8 lanes.

My Dad, Myself and Jon will be there to race 8 lanes, 3 min heats.
The 6 Lane 4 min heats are meant for the King Track at Daytona since it was built like that :)

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Guys:

The 6 lane thing was just an IDEA to reduce wrecks and move the races along a little faster since we will have to run A and B mains for each race to have enough turn marshals.  No reason to get all upset, heck I'll do what ever the racers want to do.  In fact we can race on which ever track everyone wants to race on, it's not a dictatorship.

Defiantly not upset, didn't mean to come across that way.

Brandon:

The "middle 6-lane" idea was to make bigger gutters to hopefully move the entire race program along a bit faster by reducing wrecks/track calls.

That could help the guys that had to drive a long way to get to the track get home sooner.  I'm cool with what ever the racers want to do. :sun_bespectacled:

To all GRRR Racers...

We now have the requirement to have minimum of 10 racers pre-signed up in order to hold the race at Vero Beach this coming Sunday. This is two more than previously announced.  We presently have 9 racers signed up and need just one more for this race to be a "GO" so please reach out to any other retro racer you know and see if they can attend this event and then let me know asap.

Right now it is planned to run the GT Coupe and Stockcar race on the Hillclimb, and the Can-Ams on the King, but we can any race run on which ever track the racers decide on.

There should be some really good racing on the new Gerding King track which has been checked out by several racers that say it is great shape.

We can have the races on whichever track, or tracks, the racers vote for.  I've already cleared this with the owner.  Personally I would like to run something, maybe the GT Coupes, on the Hillclimb but I'm flexible.  Stockcars on the King are OK by me but let's see what the other racers want to do.
