Due to medical reasons my track is for sale. The footprint is 12’ x 30’, it has six lanes with 4” lane spacing. Average lap length is 101’-6”. It comes with LapMaster counting/timing system, computer, Volteq HY1550EX variable voltage power pack, two 55” monitors, Slot Car Corner driver panels with XLRs and controller hook-up posts, six 1/24 Champion TurboFlex chassis house cars, and seven Trinity controllers. I tried to use all the best components available.

When I designed this track, I wanted it to be big enough for a commercial raceway and yet small enough for a lot of basements and garages. I also wanted enough lanes for a commercial raceway but not so many it is hard for turn marshals to reach all the way across the track. I wanted it to be challenging but not so technical it wasn’t fun to drive. I wanted a Hillclimb so I could squeeze as much running surface in as possible and it could be pushed up against the wall and marshaled from the inside. I wanted it on wheels so I could move it in case I needed to work on the back side and I could clean under it. I made it 4” lane spacing so I could run either 1/32 or 1/24 cars. It was built in 2020.

Here’s a LINK to how it was built.

Price reduced to $8,000. Hell of a deal for this track. I'd hate to turn it into a Red, White and Black bonfire. Send a PM if interested.

Are you going to build yourself another track or are you taking a step back from slot cars? I recall all the construction photos of this track that were posted on HRW.

A beautiful, well thought-out and executed track design. Almost looks like it could be managed with just four corner marshals, unless I was running on it.

Well done!

Butch advises that this track is back on the market. If you want one of the best owner-constructed tracks you'll ever see, send him a PM. I've raced on this track and it's as good as he indicates.

The green track as shown below is Jim's first track he built, and I now own this track. This track is about 19 years old.

The construction is still all intact, the green paint has been redone with new braid and wiring. The track runs well and very smooth.

So, if you're looking for a well-constructed track, I wouldn't think twice to purchase his track as in my opinion there's none better.

I have known Jim for many years, and we talk a few times a month on many subjects and enjoy doing so. It's an old goat thing.

Regards,

Gene

Gene,

Not sure just how well you know him, as I have never heard anyone address him as 'Jim.' He's 'Butch' to all his really close friends... LOL.

Just razzing you, Gene. I can't recall anyone else ever calling him Jim in my presence.

I actually talked to Butch this morning as well.

I talked to Butch yesterday. I use both Jim and Butch, sometimes in the same conversation. I would have called Tuesday, but I didn't have any April Fool's jokes. I guess us older folk get to talk first.  laugh2.gif  laugh2.gif
