Is that the track that used to be at Piranha?

This track is known as "The Beast" and was located at Bob Wright's raceway in Santa Clarita (where the photo was taken) and San Diego previously. It's not the track from Piranha.

Correct. Ran on that track a couple times when it was in Yorba Linda, Ca. at The Cave. Hell of a track. The "Beast" is what it is. Damn fun tho.

I don't get along well on some flat tracks, but I kinda liked this one. I guess I had the right setup, because it wasn't a beast, and I was a bit taken when someone told me that was what this track was known as.

The track that Piranha did have came from Slot Car Raceway in Rohnert Park. I was there the week it closed, and the flat track was already sold and disassembled for transport. I believe 4 USRA Div. 2 Nats were held on this track while at Rohnert Park, but when it was put back into service at Piranha, Gary Gerding was employed to add to the track's lap length. I only got to try it in this new configuration, and that one was a beast to me.
