Guys:

I'm looking for a race awards supplier, you know, box plaques and such.

Normally I would use Ralph Thorne Racing but recently he has been very hard to contact due to his involvement with a 1:1 racing team.

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Following.

I wonder if he is in still in business. He owes me a bunch of race plaques for our last season as well as our summer races. Impossible to get in touch with him.

Yes.

My distributor periodically will mention getting an RTR order in, in their weekly email newsletter.

Instead of looking at plaques possibly try looking at something that made by CNC or 3D printed.  I believe Chance Overhalt is making some for the Brawl this year.

Would this be something a local trophy shop could provide?

Usually any big town would have at least one place locally.

Or are you looking for something that would need a more specialized source?

This seems to be a more and more prevalent problem for race organizers.

Might consider instead:

Race entrant stickers instead of box plaques. I have had good luck with Vistaprint and Sticker Mule.

Trophies that stay at the raceway and have the year and winner's name added later - similar to the Borg-Warner trophy for the Indy 500.

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

Jay try these guys

Trophies | Awards and Trophies | Medals and Plaques (crownawards.com)

I am using them now because you can't get a hold of Ralph

We are using them for our FCR Nats Race, they are easy to work with
