Steve ('Silver Fox' on Slotblog) passed away at his home in Georgia early this morning Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

I have great memories of racing the old AMSRA Series at Steve and Shirley's "Raceworld Speedway Slotcars" in LaGrange, GA.

He was a giant of a man with a big heart and gentle ways. Hope he is with Shirley again, in everlasting peace and happiness.   :sun_bespectacled:

Sad news. I raced at their place for years and with Steve in Talladega and other tracks around Alabama and Georgia.

Prayers for the Harrington family.

As I have said before, two of the nicest people I ever met in slot racing. Spent many great hours at Raceworld over the years.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Sorry to hear of Steve's passing, but at least he can now be with his beloved Shirley.

They were both great supporters of slot car racing over many, many years of managing Raceworld and other venues.

RIP, Steve.

I only raced at Raceworld once.  But that was all it took to see why it was a favorite among Georgia racers.

Godspeed, Steve!

Very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I spent almost every Saturday at RaceWorld testing and tuning.

Prayers for the Harrington family.
