Are yall going to reschedule this race? Obviously things are going to be bad in Pinellas Park in 2 days. Can this event be reschedule later this year? There's gonna be way too many things for Eddie to deal with this weekend even if some magical sh*t happens and Pinellas is spared.

You guys hang in there!
Thoughts and prayers to everyone again in the line of what looks like another major disaster... Just brutal....

I emailed Ed a couple days ago and he said he was boarding up the raceway. I am four hours away on the east coast and the hurricane system was spitting out tornadoes all around me. About eight touched down in Fort Pierce, Stuart, Port St. Lucie, and then to the east of me at the Jensen Causeway bridge. My phone kept buzzing with tornado alerts all afternoon.

We have so few raceways in Florida so glad Fast Eddie's will survive.
Sorry to my neighbor John for my tree crashing into his new fence.

I've reached out to Eddie Hoffman and Jay Guard in the last few minutes to ask them to let us know they are OK.
Anyone else in the path of this monster storm is asked to let us know how they are doing, if and when they can.

Just spoke with Jay. Their power went out last night about 11 PM, but he has a generator. Lots of wind and rain in DeLand but no trees fell on his place, just lots of limbs and leaves covering their entire yard.
Now waiting to hear from Eddie Hoffman.

I was kind of hoping the hurricane would come over my house just enough to damage the roof. I need a new one and I would prefer my insurance company to pay for it.

I had a text conversation with Ed earlier this afternoon and he and Elaine are doing fine. No power at their house and more tree issues on top of the damage from Helene, but they're fine.
Ed said that flood waters rose to within a foot of the door of the raceway... but did not get inside the building. He said the track had power when he checked on it this morning.

Ed asked me to let everyone know that his raceway has power and that the race can still be run this Saturday the 12th if you guys want to.
If you were planning on racing at Eddie's this Saturday, please reply to this post or reply to the email I just sent out or contact Ed as to whether or not you could still attend.

It was greatly appreciated!!
We were blessed to escape it with fairly minimal damage to our home and none at the Raceway.
The FSCS race will be rescheduled for Saturday
October 19th.
We hope that the majority of you will be able to attend and apologize for the late change.

Just thankful that you and Elaine are safe and can race another day.
