Development/change will always have mixed reactions. While not every "development" is successful, it is acknowledge as the first step to improvement. This video shows a glimpse of the potential power of the press. In the end, the masses of people who buy the tickets make the decision. Maybe there is a lesson in there for the slot car hobby?
