Race No. 2 of the 2024-2025 NERR Series will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at:

First up will be GT Coupes on the King followed by Can-Am on the King.

 

Please note the NERR General Race Event Procedures below.

 

Recommended set up for Coupes:

          Braid Depth: Varies, set for .015 with no lift is recommended

Body: Lola T70 by RTR, Parma, or Kelly

          Gearing: 11:25 and 12:27 work best

          Tires: Kelly, Thunder Medium, or Mid-America Medium

          Weight: 110-115 grams

          Times to shoot for: 4.9 – 5.0 seconds

Existing Lap Records:   Quali Time:   4.743 by Keith Libby

                                  Race Time:   4.902 by Keith Libby

     Laps:           279/10 by Gary Clinton Jr.

  

Recommended set up for Can-Am:

          Braid Depth: see above

          Body: Ti22 by DDS, Hi-Speed, or RTR

          Gearing: 11:25 or 12:27

          Tires: Kelly, Thunder Medium, Mid-America Medium

          Weight: 106-114 grams

          Times to shoot for: 4.8 – 4.9 seconds

NERR General Race Event Procedures and Schedule:

 

1010 Raceway will be open for practice on Friday afternoon prior to the race from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm or whenever the last racer is finished.

 

Pit pass for the evening is $10.00. Note that 1010 runs a weekly flexi-car race from 7:00-9:00 pm on the King, so the track will NOT be available for practice during this time. With the flexi-car race in mind, plan to arrive early or stay late for practice.

 

If you want to run the flexi-car race, the race fee is $15.00 and all are welcome. Entrants receive free practice from 6:00 pm until the start of the flexi-car race.

 

Track opens Saturday morning at 7:00 am.

 

Entry fees for each class will be collected at tech, cash only please.

 

Entry fee for each class is $15 plus $10 pit pass for race day.

 

Tech opens at 9:00 am, closes at 10:00 am or when the last car clears inspection if earlier than 10:00.

 

Cars in Tech shall be impounded and not handled by the car owner or other racers. 

 

Track power will be shut off at 9:30 am.

 

Qualifying starts 15 minutes after the close of tech.

 

Lane selection will be immediately after qualifying. Drivers who are not present during lane selection will be assigned a lane at random by the race director.

 

Racing begins 10 minutes after qualifying.

 

Race heats will be 3 minutes in length with two minutes between heats.

 

Prior to the start of each Main a one-minute warm-up will be provided. Sit-outs (if any) have the option of a one-minute warm-up.  

 

Tech will open for the next class no less than 45 minutes after conclusion of previous race as stated by the Race Director--track power will be shut off 15 minutes after tech opens.

 

In races with move-ups, drivers moving up shall have 10 minutes from the completion of podium photos of the previous main to present their car to Tech for re-inspection.

Some of the Friday night crew have prep some retro cars! Nice to see some fresh blood getting interested!!!!!!

I agree Larry, great to see some new faces.  And no surprise that the "old guard" was more than happy to help them prepare.
