Can-Am on the Royal – 10/8/24

 

The American Royal hosted its first visit of 2024 from the Can-Am class in the October 8th edition of the MVH Tuesday Night Retro Series. Eleven racers ran on the middle six lanes with four marshals and one racer manning the computer.

John Weaver took the win by a six-lap margin with Cody Pare hanging onto second place. In third place, Bob Hazelwood was just one lap behind Cody. There was a thirteen-lap gap to Ray Lee in fourth place. In fifth, Rolly Lapierre Jr. finished just eleven track sections ahead of Joe Yates. Further back in the field, Dan Savage took eighth place by one lap over Rick Pare.

 

Ten of the eleven racers posted sub-4 second laps with the fastest lap posted by Weaver. His 3.673 lap was .008 better than Cody’s fast lap.
