Formula 1 on the King – 10/15/24
Once again, on October 15th, the MVH Tuesday Night Retro Series headed to the Gerding King to run F-1 . The field of nine ran the middle six lanes over nine heats with three marshals. The lead-on marshal was also in charge of running the track call button.
Cars in Tech:
John Weaver jumped to the early lead and never looked back, taking the win by a thirteen lap margin. The race for second was much closer, as Rob Hayes squeezed by Ray Lee by one lap for second. Cody Pare and Bob Hazelwood were in the closest race of the night as Cody held on to take fourth place by just ten track sections.
Dan Savage got the hard luck award as a solid hit destroyed one of his rear wheels:
Weaver had the fastest lap of the night with a 4.008 on white. Rob’s 4.116 on yellow was the second fastest time of the night and as close as anyone got to Weaver’s time.
