The inaugural South Georgia Retro Racing (SGRR) event took place at the Viper Pit on November 9. We offered what might be termed a 'soft launc'" with consideration to looming, well-established Retro races occurring around the country.
Having said that, we had 18 entries across three races - Formula 1 (blue King), Can-Am (blue King), and Stock Car (Daytona Tri-oval). In the house were local racers as well as racers from as distant as Atlanta and Destin, FL. Raymond Gonzalez, Mike Shepard, and Eddie Fleming attended and represent some of my oldest, closest friends.
The race results and race poster are posted beneath, and I wish to congratulate all podium paces as well as the entire crew! Aaron and I intend to schedule another race, and this time we will hopefully do more advertising to increase attendance. Stay tuned..
