NERR’s third race of the season will feature Can-Am on the American Royal followed by F-1 on the Gerding G-7 King. This will be NERR’s first visit to the Royal for the Can-Am class. Thus, all three track records are open with new marks just waiting to be set.
Recommended set up for Can-Am on the Royal:
Braid depth: .015”
Body: Ti22 by DDS, Hi-Speed, or RTR
Gearing: 9:26 or 10:27 would be good places to start
Tires: Kelly Retro, Thunder medium, Mid-America medium.
Weight: 108 – 113 grams
Times to shoot for: Target 3.5 – 3.6 seconds but times in the 3.4s should be possible.

Recommended set-up for F-1 on the King:
Braid depth: close to flush, set for .005 maximum
Body: McLaren M7 by Parma, RTR, O/S, DDS or Kelly
Gearing: 11:27, 12:27 or 12:28 depending on setup and driving style. 10:25 also works.
Tires: Thunder Medium, Mid-America Medium, Kelly Retro
Weight: 106-113 grams
Times to shoot for: 3.9 - 4.1 seconds

NERR General Race Event Procedures and Schedule:
Track will be open for practice on Friday evening prior to the race from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Pit pass for the evening is $10.00.
Track opens Saturday morning at 7:00 am.
Entry fees for each class will be collected at tech, cash only please.
Entry fee for each class is $15 plus $10 pit pass for race day.
Tech opens at 9:00 am, closes at 10:00 am or when last car clears inspection if earlier than 10:00.
Cars in Tech shall be impounded and not handled by the car owner or other racers.
Track power will be shut off at 9:30 am.
Qualifying starts 15 minutes after close of tech.
Lane selection will be immediately after qualifying. Drivers who are not present during lane selection will be assigned a lane at random by the race director.
Racing begins 10 minutes after qualifying.
Race heats will be 3 minutes in length with two minutes between heats.
Prior to the start of each Main a one-minute warm-up will be provided. Sit-outs (if any) have the option of a one-minute warm-up.
Tech will open for the next class one hour after conclusion of previous race or as stated by the Race Director--track power will be shut off 15 minutes after tech opens.
In races with move-ups, drivers moving up shall have 10 minutes from the completion of podium photos of the previous main to present their car to Tech for re-inspection.
