Due to a relocation, Racing to the Past is selling the track and inventory. Track is 32'x17', with eight lanes and fully-operational with computers, timing system and power supply. Brushless slot cars are available for sale.

For details, send a PM.

Thanks.

If it is a relocation, why not relocate the track?

I've raced on that track many times, one of the best flat blacks in the country.

Where is this track located? I'm just curious.

I hear that it's been sold and some guys from the St. Johns County area (just south of Jacksonville) are looking for a space to set it up.

This is such a cool looking track. I wish I could've raced on it before moving.

We'll see. Mike Henry knows these guys and raced 1/32 scale cars on a small track they had in the St. Augustine area. I hear that they're looking for a decent-sized space but want to pay next to nothing for rent.

I've also heard someone has an "in" on a decent-size space somewhere between St. Augustine and Palatka.  That wouldn't be the most convenient ..... but it would be WAY closer than we have now.   ;)

This is such a cool looking track. I wish I could've raced on it before moving.

It looks like fun to me, too.  Pretty sure I could bend some chassis on that thing.

Correct on several comments, incorrect on a few others...

The St Augustine Slot Car Club (Slot Car Saints) did buy the Mount Dora track, moved it to a storage unit due to the owners of Racing to the Past losing their lease. We wanted to find a place to put it, but only had a few days to move the track. Therefore it was moved to a storage unit until we can find a suitable place to set it up.

Since the Slot Car business is such a huge money maker we decided to go all in, find a massive building and start day one with tens of thousands of dollars in inventory and the huge rent bill....Not....

We are a small club but have dedicated members and we will find the right space for the track along with a few others we have been looking at. Until we can do that the track will remain stored in a safe climate controlled facility.

The Jacksonville/St Johns/St Augustine is the preferred location and with growth along Hwy 1 it would be nice to find something near there. The next to nothing rent is not necessarily true, but we won't open the doors for a year then close because we had a bad business model...We have seen that mistake happen too many times.

Hopefully we will get to meet all of you sooner rather than later...

Slot Car Saints....
