He's connected, networked, is known to the automotive collector's world and has money to buy.

I have seen him driving down the freeway (I can't remember the exact car but it was a pre-WWII car) enjoying the ride.

Terrific story and an amazing car. IIRC didn't AMT make a model kit?

JoHan made the model. It was molded in Turbine bronze and had working everything. Still have my original built and another mint kit.

JoHan also issued a promo style kit which was reissued some years ago in white with the decals to create the car from the movie "The Lively Set." According to Wiki, 55 cars were made for the test program, and after being recalled all but nine were destroyed. I'm sure Chrysler has kicked themselves many times over the years–- think what they would have gotten at auction, one every year.

I know I'm a nerd but stories of history being restored thru 3D printing make me smile.  :)

I did a project on the Chrysler Turbine cars in grade school (after seeing them on exhibit at the New York World's Fair). I wrote to Chrysler and they sent me a book about the program. They had experimental engines in stock bodied cars in the 1950s.

If I remember correctly the Italian bodies came in under an agreement with the government; to avoid the tariff the cars would be destroyed after their test life with only a limited number held back.

Even the best photos do not do this car justice.

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.
