MSCS Indy Car Results

Don got his redemption from the traveling MSCS race earlier in the month with a first place over Dale finishing a close second. Daryl in third despite his early controller issues. Kevin came with a newly built Indy Car and is still working out the kinks. Expect him to be back next week ready to rock. This was Russ' first time ever driving an Indy Car and he did a fine job.

DLM

Dale just nosed past Don for first in DLM. Daryl with a great third place and any of them could have won it. This was Russ' first time racing his DLM car and he was running good. Just a couple tweaks to the car and some more practice on the gutter lanes and he will be battling for podiums.

We race each Sunday. Track opens at 1:00PM with racing starting at 3:30. Usually done by 6:00.

Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Indy Headache

Our New Years day race: 5 minutes/heat on the Boogie, 5 minutes on the blue track and then heads up on the drag strip.

8 racers took on the challenge. First up was the Boogie track. After 40 minutes of racing it was Lonnie winning by about a half lap over Don in second and Dick coming in third.

Boogie

Blue Track

We ate lunch and then raced on the blue track. After 40 minutes it was Dick taking a commanding victory. His car was just too quick for the rest. Don and Lonnie finished on the same lap but Don just got the edge as he finished about an inch closer to the finish line. Dick, Lonnie, and Don were tied in points after this race so it all came down to the drag strip.

Drag Strip

Don took the win in the drag strip without a single red light while Lonnie and Dick going out first round. Many of these racers had never done any drag racing so it mainly came down to who wouldn't red light.

Final points standing had Don cleanly out ahead but Lonnie and Dick were tied. It was a final heads-up race to claim second place. Lonnie prevailed as Dick had a red light.

Final Standings after the three races

1st. Don Myers

2nd. Lonnie Baatz

3rd. Dick Boxell

4th. Daryl Schmuck

DLM

Dale and Don again battling each other. Don was able to get the advantage today with Dale 2nd. Kevin with an impressive 3rd but Daryl was hot on his tail. It came down to the final heat between these two.

MSCS Indy Car Results

Don was on a mission today winning both races.

Don beat out Dale by 2 laps with Daryl finishing 3rd. Tim Bontrager set his new personal best lap total and fastest lap and his car is working great now. Rick and Cody returned after a couple week break. Cody has a slower motor in his car as he is quite young and new to the hobby but still runs some very competitive times. Unfortunately for Chester, he had a motor get knocked out and didn't finish the race but was showing a great improvement from last week.

MSCS Production Results

The first race of the production class was a resounding success. The cars handled great and the lap times were fast. Don prevailed again followed by Rob and Dale. Rob surprised himself with how fast his car was compared to practice. Great to see this happen. We had been struggling with Kevin's car the last couple of practice days but some new tires and a couple tweaks to the chassis had it running like never before.

Next race is 1-19-2025. Classes will be MSCS Indy car and DLM. Any questions please let me know.

MSCS Indy Car Results

Don was the one to beat again.

Don 1st Dale 2nd and Daryl 3rd. It came down to the last heat between Kevin and Rob. One small mistake by Rob let Kevin get by and claim 4th.

Russ and Chester still learning the track but getting better every week.

Indy Car Lineup.PNG

DLM Results

Don 1st Dale 2nd and Kevin 3rd. 2nd-4th was tight.

Unfortunately, Daryl had to pull off to fix the body losing 1-2 laps or there would have been four battling for 2nd.

Next week 1-26-2025 will be MSCS Indy car and MSCS 4" Production. Any questions please let me know.

Don's double win streak finally comes to an end. Indy cars first then we had some pizza followed by the Production race.

MSCS Indy Car Results

Dale 1st, Don 2nd, and Kevin a close 3rd. Daryl fought back from 8th after 2 heats into the race to just get past Rick for fourth but it was close.

Kevin set his best lap total in this class today.

Indy Lineup.PNG

Indy Results.PNG

MSCS Production Results

Mitchel 1st, Dale 2nd, Don 3rd and Rob with a great 4th. Close racing between 3-5. Dale set a new fast lap on purple and his car was fast on the lower lanes.

Don was struggling with too much brake the whole race even when he was dialing it down. Come to find out he had accidentally hit the bypass switch for full brake all the time.

Expect a much a much better result from him in the next Production race.

Don was back on his winning form this week and a couple racers were plagued with mechanical issues.

MSCS Indy Car Results

1st Don, 2nd Daryl, and 3rd Kevin. We had 3 new drivers on the Boogie - Dick, Michael, and Sean. They all did great and quickly learned the track.

Dale was setting some fast laps until his lead wire broke. He got it fixed and came back out only to have the other side break. Just bad luck.

Indy Car Lineup.PNG

Indy Results.PNG

DLM Results

1st Don, 2nd Dale, 3rd Kevin. Sean was running great until his lead wire broke. Russ' motor moved and locked the axle so he fell out early.

Apart from that everyone was running good and the fast lap times were all close.

Next week 2-09-2025 will be MSCS Indy car and MSCS 4" Production. Any questions please let me know.

We are going to start an hour earlier (2:30PM) due to the super bowl.

Getting caught up here with the results for the last two weeks.

MSCS Indy Car Results

1st Dale, 2nd Don, and 3rd Daryl. Battle for 3rd and battle for 5th came down to the last lap with some great close racing from these guys.

Michael came back for another round on the boogie. We appreciate him coming down from Michigan to race with us.

MSCS Production Results

1st Don, 2nd Kevin, 3rd Dale and Rob with another great 4th. Don got his brake figured out on his controller making him the one to beat.

Kevin brought a new production car using the Mid America Gemini chassis and it is running great.

1st Dale, 2nd Dick, and 3rd Chester. Dale's car was hooked up and running fast. Dick and Chester came down to the final heat with Dick just getting ahead of chester.

This was Chester's first race on the Boogie and he was impressive. Appreciate him coming over and racing with us.

MSCS Indy Car Results

1st Don, 2nd Daryl, and 3rd Rick.

The top 3 were all running the same times so it came down to consistency with Don taking the victory. Daryl finished a great 2nd and Rick battled Kevin till the last lap to claim 3rd.

Cody had been running a slower motor since he is new to slot cars so this was his first race with the new one. He needs a little more practice with the faster motor but did great.

Indy Lineup.PNG

Indy Results.PNG

MSCS Production Results

1st Don, 2nd Kevin, 3rd Daryl.

The fast lap times were all close but you had to stay out of the chaos to win with Don prevailing again. Kevin and Daryl swapped positions many times but Kevin claimed second.

This was Russ' first Production race and he did great. Just needs a little more practice with how fast these cars are.

Special thanks to Tim and Sean for traveling to come race with us. Great having both of them around.

Sunday 3-3-2025

We cleaned and glued the track last week and it was fast Sunday. Numerous records in both classes were set and DLM has a new total laps record.

MSCS Indy Car Results

1st Don, 2nd Zach, and 3rd Chester.

There was no catching Don today. 2nd-4th all with similar fast laps with Chester and Daryl battling it out till the last lap for 3rd.

Kevin and Tim also had a battle for 6th with Tim just getting the edge. Chris' motor came loose 2 times but he was running good for only having a couple races under his belt.

Indy Lineup.PNG

Indy Results.PNG

DLM Results

1st Zach, 2nd Kevin, and 3rd Don.

Zach was flying in the DLM race setting 6 new lap records. Kevin set Orange lap record and fastest lap of the race to beat Don. 4th-6th was tight with a photo finish.

Russ didn't quite have the correct tires so after the race I put some of mine on there and he was running 5.4's consistently. Looking forward to his next DLM race to see the improvement.

Next week 3-9-2025 will be MSCS Indy car and MSCS 4" Production. Any questions please let me know.
