It will be a little heavier and because it has more torque, you will gear it numerically lower, which will mean the motor is running at a lower RPM, creating less gyro effect, the Eurosport crowd is convinced aids handling.

ahh,,, seems everyone is running BL in ES... unless you running "retro" ES
Cry like a baby, drive like a girl, walk like a man.
Give me enough rope and I'll build a fast car... or hang myself?

Really? gyroscopic action improving handling? And Mike, all other things being equal, all of the Eurosport racing that I have seen on Youtube and otherwise, the the cars are heavily braked at the start of tight turns, allowed to roll under reduced, or maybe no load, and then floored at the exit. So wouldn't increased torque be an advantage? There's one other hing that I have always wondered about. Given that those motors frequently have to be choked down to reduce power in order to keep them on the track, wouldn't it be easier to build a motor that can run at full capability all of the time, thus being easier in general to drive? If these questions seem bone headed, forgive my ignorance. I'm getting back into the hobby, and Eurosport strikes me as a grand way to spend too much money.

The major down side is weight, possible lack of acceleration and braking depending on track.
Possible heat buildup over 40 mins of racing is a downside.
Before we switched to brushless, we were running between an 18/24 and 20/25 depending on car/track.
I know some guys were running 17t motors.
5/40 or 41 72p gearing for best performance.
Its eurosport though so you can run any motor/chassis combo you want.
put it together and have fun.
