I have been given these two old chassis that I have decided to restore and give to my local raceway owner to put into his 'museum' cabinet. I have absolutely no idea what the are or what sort of era they come from.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,
First one is Otaki, second one Tamiya; not sure it's for the Lancia I show – a similar chassis also equipped the Tamiya Lotus 30 and maybe their Ford GT Spyder.
Otaki did at least one other car with that chassis, a Testa Rossa.

I did have that Otaki one – quite miserable as the CG was really high.

That's what I would have thought, but a couple years ago Joel Thura came to a race at Champagne Mouton (50 ft straight!) with the Otaki Testa Rossa and the thing was a rocket ship – to everybody's surprise, including Joel's!

Wow, that was quick. Thanks very much for the info.
So I'm guessing they are from the late 1960s – does that sound about right?
Cheers,
Dave

Dave, i'm not that sure about Japanese release dates, but I would think more like 65-67.
