Anybody know what race chassis this is? I've seen lots that look similar. But not this one other than the modifications.

An interesting, inexpensive  and competitive Retro class would be this chassis and/or the Champion equiv., no air control allowed and bodies must have been available when the frames were current. Stock Parma 16D or Mid-America Condor motor. Also maybe a faster class with the same rules but a Mura gp. 12 motor.

 

This would be a way for racers who have been out of it for a while to get back in with their old cars without spending a lot of cash.

Looks like a Womp body on that chassis in the first post.

 

It is. Wide Womp with the back panel cut off so it would clear the motor. Good catch.
