I have been told there is a track that has been set up in Kent, OH. Does anybody know anything about it?

I think Penn-Ohio may be racing there this Saturday.

A good bit of searching indicates you are correct, but they must not want the word to get out.

The Mirgs Slot Car Raceway does have a Facebook page.

The address is 1157 Main Street, Kent, OH.

The Penn-Ohio race starts at 8 AM. The race was not mentioned on Slotblog.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Marc,

Penn-Ohio is racing there this weekend. Track will open at 3 PM on Friday for practice and testing. .030" braid depth. We are running Stockers and Coupes. Saturday track opens at 8 AM, tech closes at 10:15, and racing begins at 10:30.

If you are in the area, stop by and see your Penn-Ohio friends.

Hope to see you,

Dan Ebert

IIRC they opened on Nov 16, 2024.

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

Is there any history on that track? Looks good in the picture.

Nelson, the track came from Southern PA or NJ.

it was pretty rough when purchased and if I recall correctly Dale put something like 1,200 hours into reconditioning it. He did a terrific job. Very smooth and very clean.

I will second what Dennis said. The track is very smooth and very fast. The Penn-Ohio group had an awesome race there last Saturday. In fact, we had the highest turnout for the entire racing season. Dale and Nick are great hosts and very accommodating.

Looks like an awesome track! Typically they can be driven better with the drivers stations reversed though.  :)

I agree, Mike. I tried to tell them it would be better to reverse the drivers stations on the hill climb in Atlanta, but nobody was listening.
