Lola T-70 bodies & the coupes have always been a favorite of mine. This one is no exception. The chassis reminds me of Bob's "Econo Nascar" chassis he designed about 20 yrs. ago. The Ferret inline motor bracket & the brass strips holding up the front axle both caught my attention. Are the pans & center section of this chassis .063 or .090 brass? I know you group uses Bob's econo chassis on your hot rods & maybe other classes too. I'll have to take another look at this Lola's chassis. I have an ancient email from Bob with all his original chassis specs for the econo chassis.

Good video. The Lola T-70 had many versions, one could build up a nice little collection modeling them all, coupes included.

Thanks! Wish I could find a plastic or reasonably priced resin coupe in 1/24.  Do you know of any?  Also, I tested the T70 at our sister track which has much tighter turns.  Conclusion - it was over-motored.  I will swap out and let you know results.

Hi Bill,

It was in fact an "Econo" chassis built by Hanna many years ago.  I ended up changing the rear bracket height to accommodate a bit smaller diameter wheel.  The brass is .093"..BTW sorry it took so long to respond, For some reason I didn't "Follow this topic"

Thanks for the info Rich, your timeframe didn't present me a problem. I wasn't going to build one yesterday.  :) Currently, I have no local tracks to run cars if I built them,

Well, to me 75% of the fun is building them. But, of course, if it runs well, that's the final stamp of approval.
