Several years ago, I built a Datsun 510 with a Scratch chassis. I thought it was time to freshen up the build. The video below shown below shows the body mods, current paint job and chassis config and power plant selection. Also included is a clip of the car running laps. There is much more to do including a complete repaint with custom BRE decals and more. So, there will be a follow-on video when the project is completed. Attached are a few static images

Work done since this video was posted:
- Swapped motor to a less powerful unit
- Chassis Weight tuning
- Cut wheels down a bit to reduce ground clearance to .062
- These mods. reduced fast lap times by about .3 seconds
- Body is now being stripped
In its first rendition shown in this video, the body had been raised by about 1/8 inch to allow for wheel clearance. With smaller wheels, I will not need a full 1/8 and intend to have the body sit lower. This should also improve handling and lap times a bit more.
