The 2nd Annual Buzz A Rama Memorial Race will be held @ Race Ya on Staten Island on Saturday April 12th. We will once again be racing Flexi Nascars and Womps. 

The track will be open at 8am on the 12th...............with racing to start at 11am.

There will be 3 mains in the Nascar division.........A,B,and C. and the  Womps will depend on the amount of entries.  Last years race saw over 30 racers compete. It was a Great day of fun food and prizes.

There will be raffles prizes and food to purchase just like last year. So come on down and be a part of Slot car History. You wont want to miss it. 

 

Rules are as follows: 

 

#1........COME TO HAVE FUN

 

WOMP RULES

 

Chassis: Any Parma of Mid America Brass or Steel Womp/Stomp chassis, Champion Thumper Steel chassis............No modifications.

              You may add weight

Motor: Mid America Stomp motor, or Parma 16D Black or Pink endbell.............No American arms You may solder in the motor

Body: Any Parma , Champion,or Mid America 1/32 Womp body. NO MODIFICATIONS TO THE BODY.

Axles: 1/8 axles only front and back.....axles must rotate freely. You must use oilites NO BALL BEARINGS

Tires: Any Black foam or rubber tires 1/8 axle .....NO SILICONE TIRES

Tech: Tire Width must be 3" or less. .......Front and back. .47 clearance under car except crown gear.

 

FLEXI NASCAR RULES

 

Chassis: Any JK, Parma, or Champion Chassis........No Modifications to Chassis..... You may grind out the motor bracket to fit Pinion.

Motor: JK Hawk 7 of Parma Super 16D green endbell .....No American arms.....No ball bearings in motor......You may solder in motor.

Body: Any JK, Parma, Champion, or Ralph Thorne Body........Cut on the cutline (NO EXCEPTIONS).No modification to the body.

Axles; 3/23 or 1/8. You must use oilite bushings; NO BALL BEARINGS

Tires: Any Black foam or rubber 3/32 or 1/8 only ........No silicone tires Front tires are optional.

Tech: Tire width will be 3 1/4" . Checked with the tech tool........ .47" clearance under the rear of the car.

 

This is meant to be a fun race So please dont try and manipulate the rules. Just play nice, come prepared and have fun.

I was all excited, but it's first night of passover on 4/12. Nobody looks at calendars anymore. :-(

Mostly just play with lots of cars.
Able to maintain slot cars with a single bound.
Faster than a speeding Womp.
More powerful than a 36D.

Just a heads up, the Retro Marathon Race at Modelville Hobby is the same weekend.

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

sorry Mike ......but we are pretty booked up in April and that was the only available day..........We also done have have any Jewish racers that would have brought it to my attention..............I hope you can still make it with a hall pass.
