Recently received some Hawk Retro motors from Jk. Opened them up to find that there are no etched markings. The markings that are there are "Printed" on and wipes off. Isn't this going to cause some issues when it comes to race tech, especially for those with specific & strict rules?838a661fdd5617d069e042afd2950d78.jpgbf7352e4a67b32185d8cdace2c65e9ce.jpge0c237077b911f7767cf7fd0ded59479.jpg

That is the original version of the Retro Hawk. They were by far the best, but are not legal anywhere as far as I know.

SCCRA might still allow them for their monthly flat track at Piranha. If you can use them in your area, message Bryan Warmack to see if anyone out in CA can use them.

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

Aw, the good old days of the JK Retro Hawk motor.  The original, the R, the 7R, 9R, short shaft, long shaft.  Personally, I thought the JK Retro hawk R motor was consistently the fastest although Brian Warmack did his best to take any motor version apart to check the correct amount of winds, etc.  Here's what I believe are the latest sCRRA Rules and Regulations
