Tryin to figure this out. Apparently, flipping the switch applies a small positive voltage when braking, but there is no setting to change it. Is this so?

Is there any way to regulate the amount of anti brakes or is just a fixed voltage? The instructions I got have no details other than saying to flip the switch for anti brakes.

Because light travels faster than sound, some people appear to be bright until we hear them speaking.

If I remember correctly, You adjust the anti-brake with the sensitivity knob. Give that a try.

I noticed that. The DIP switches will also affect it, but both also changes the trigger response. I was hoping that there was a way to just change the brakes.

I believe the circuit takes the first band voltage. Thats why the dip switches and sensitivity potentiometer changes the amount of anti-brake. I believe theres a guy in South America that has modified the CS anti-brake, it adds an additional potentiometer just for the anyi-brake.

Anti-brake essentially switches off the brake circuit and connects the brake contact to the throttle circuit. I'm not familiar with the Carsteen controller, but it sounds like it's another of the common current amplifier type controllers (not PWM). In this case, modifying one can be relatively easy, but will require real estate for another pot to adjust anti-brake, and the pot can either provide additional adjustment from the band #1 throttle or completely independent of it. If the anti-brake pot is fed from band #1, then of course any sensitivity adjustment will also effect the anti-brake setting which will also need to be re-adjusted. This does assure that anti-brake can't apply more throttle than band #1, but a completely independent control can be range limited to something compatible with band #1.

Have a new Carsteen CS 4.2 controller. I have not been able to get the anti-brake to work. Have checked switch with ohm meter, it is working, but unable to adjust car brake speed with sensitivity pot. Anyone have a contact to repair controller. Have contacted Steen and he is unable to repair at this time. Thanks for any responses Randy Kirtley 270-903-1274.
