Hi all,

I need your help to identify the following Mura parts in the pictures:
1) black Lenz Can and Endbell, Mura B
2) green shadowed Mura B motor with NCC20 armature
3) purple shadowed Mura D can with cuts on it, and glued magnets
4) Mura B endbell with larger brushes

Any help is appreciated.

Lenz motor ran counter clockwise compared to Mura motors.  Very scarce these days.

I don't understand your question.

You're asking for help identifying items that you already identified yourself.

I don't have idea about when they where released, in particular the Lenz motor and the green Mura B... Do you have details? Instead I don't know what that Mura D can is...

If you use Slotblog 's search engine, you'll probably find what you want.

There has been a lot of Mura B can talk on Slotblog.

I raced a B can at the Hinsdale Manufacturers Race in February of 1970, so release was probably mid '69.

Other than that, PDL, Rick Thigpen, Jim Honeycutt, and Rodney Chew would be your authorities on Mura motors.

69-70 I raced with the green NCC Mura motor you show. It is in this car(with original green paint removed) I remember it was very good value and on a school by budget and  that was important.

I did manage to get the lap record at Hounslow Raceway and win a few races with this motor and car, so it was fast.

If it was NCC tagged, it was probably a Grp. .20 arm. That was what they tagged first. I got a Grp 20 kit from REHCO in 1970.  It came with a Mura single hole D-can & a Mura Grp.20 arm. So I'd date its availability as first in the late 60s.

O.K. John it was a joke :laugh2: that I did not get.

Here is a pic of the NCC 20 stocker with its original paint that I never got to use. Maybe I should build a clone of that car that I would not mind thrashing. I made the original at 15, be fun to see one made 56 years on. Did it handle as good as I remember?
