A 24-hour slot race competition done right in Italy.
Haven't been able to locate the full results from this race, but it looks like there were two teams from the US.
HERE's the info on the 2025 event, to be held May 31-June 1 in Naples.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

That's interesting/ May must be a 'thing' for NSR 24 hour races as we have one happening at Show Us Ya Slotz here in Australia in May.
It is limited to six teams though.

There's an auction going on to help raise money to support the US team. There's a lot of good prizes you can win. $10 a ticket.
Here's the link to the auction.

Here is a video of the 2023 event taken by one of the members of the LEB team from America. It goes into more details about the event than the NSR video does.

There will be three teams from America this year. Along with the Electric Dreams and LEB teams, there is a new team called the Spirit of America.
The members are...
Paul Brotz - MI
Corey Jett - MI
Greg Kessler - OH
Steve Hulsman - KY
Matt McDonough - MA
Dickie Pearson - NH
We're very much looking forward to participating in the 2025 WRE event. We are actively testing at this time, even going as far as purchasing the brand of track (Policar) that will be used.
Other than Steve, all of us have participated multiple times in the Michigan 24 event, so we are at least a little be experienced in this type of race. But we also know the WRE will be different in that there are 32 lanes, and we only run each lane once, not multiple times like we do in the Michigan race.

Bump!
Don't forget to purchase your raffle tickets to help the "Spirit of America Team." Lots of great prizes in this raffle.
And with a little luck maybe they'll keep Dickie.

Lots of racing in the post #4 video. I thought the track were rough. I don't run on plastic tracks so don't have an explanation for the shiny spots.

Hi Bill,
You're right that the track in the video is rough. They used Ninco track that year, and it has a reputation of being rough.
I dunno why it's so popular in Europe, or it was. Now, with Ninco no longer being in the slotcar business, it appears events like this are moving on to Policar or Scaleauto track. Both are much smoother than Ninco (but not wood track smooth ).
For this year's event, NSR is using Policar track.

Over the years I have raced on almost all of the plastic "snap track" out there. Ninco and original Scalectric being the worst. Carrera being the best by far. If properly mounted on a good wooden base, the joints nearly disapear. The downside is the same as all plastic track; the steel contact rails. But even here, the Carrera is deffinitely the best. Why they wouldn't use it for such a major event is beyond me.
