It's time for the 2025 Electric Dreams Season to begin. The ScaleAuto Festival will feature a 1/32nd scale Sprint Race on Saturday, Mar. 8 on their Cunningham track. Sunday will feature the inaugural race on the old Buena Park Flat track, named Nyland Raceway in honor of Phil Nyland. It will be a 1/24th scale ScaleAuto LMP 4-Hour Team Enduro. Live Streaming for the Qualifying and Racing. Here's a link to the schedule and rulebook:

Ian Douglass continued to dominate the Electric Dreams series of races with another win. Local Todd Ulery (who works closely with Todd on their cars) was 2nd, and Mike Stahl got an impressive third in his first run on the track. Except for Todd, the rest of the Final Main was made up of guys from NorCal who run at Motown Raceway. They've got it figured out! Check the video link above to see it all.

I'm looking forward to today's Enduro on the old Buena Park Flat track. Phil Nyland and I had numerous duels on that track racing D3 Hardbody, with him usually winning. It's fitting to have the track named for him.

And Darkside West continued their winning ways in the 4-hour Enduro, with Ian Douglass winning concours and their team of Ian, Todd Ulery, Hermann James, and Brandon Phillips winning it over Walt Baynes, Mill Conroy, Bryan Warmack, and Rick Jocham. Third was Rick Eickhoff, Chris Radisich, Tim Hould, and Duran Trujillo. (Computer glitches aside) It was really a fun time getting together with racing buddies who I've known for so many years, many who have never raced 1/32 at Electric Dreams. The ScaleAuto 1/24 LMP cars were heavy and slow with those motors, but they did last and were easy to drive.
