First one of these I've seen.
By modern, they all kind of look the same, standards, I think these are really good looking.
Not too big.

I'm definitely a fan of the smaller, lighter sports cars. The Brits had a decent number of more affordable ones. The modern cars are certainly sleek and admittedly more aero with more luxury appointments and comfort, but I'm still more fond of the Lotus 7, and its modern counterpart, the Caterham.

Too many sharp edges. Colin Chapman made a name building minimalist cars. Getting the most from the smallest, lightest package. That is what attracted me to the marque. More race, less bling. I own two. (Had a third, but it was an incomplete basket case that I passed on to someone with more time to fuss with it) Built several. IMHO, I think Lotus shouldn't try to compete with the supercars. Stick to the relatively inexpensive fun to drive race-cars-for-the-street. I think there is still a market.

The article is about how the manufacturers miss-matched engines with car models.

I still think this is a good looking car.
I see this one in the nearby Aston Martin - Maserati dealership lot almost every day.
Not a fan of the color but I did see it drive by the raceway while I was outside, and it sounded good.

There is a noose waiting for whoever ordered that color. Seneca blue, through Lotus' online configurator. Lotus should be BRG with yellow mouth and/or stripes.
Like this Evora;
Or this Emira. They could drop the eyebrows over the side scoops.
I'd rather see the side scoops to look more like this. ( yes, it is from the Ferrari Dino 206GT [mine] )

I agree on the color.
I'm pretty sure I've seen an Elise with the BRG/yellow scheme.(I might be confusing it with one I saw in a JPS black/gold)
I agree the scoops are a bit big.
My biggest complaint is the hood. It looks buckled, like it rear ended another car.
