Our first ever D3 hardbody races at Electric Dreams was a lot of fun. A nice turnout of people watched our race or the Farrout races on the Samson track. Our race was held on the former BPR flat track (now named Nyland Raceway).
The first race of the day was GTP. Marco Carvalho had a great race as he set a new total lap record of 269 laps (old record of 268 by Gonzo at BPR). Second was Hector Gonzalez and third was Mike Tipps. Both Marco and Hector were the first racers to record a sub 5 sec. lap during the race. The "Racer Handicap" podium had the same finish with Marco, Gonzo and Mike on the podium.
The second race of the day was the "Mixed" race. The "Lap Differential" podium had Keith Tanaka 1st (Jalopy), Mike Tipps was 2nd (Under 2 Liter Trans Am VW Beetle) and Gonzo was 3rd (Under 2 Liter Trans Am Convair). The "Racer Handicap" podium had Keith 1st, Mike 2nd and Bruce Frye 3rd.
The Third race of the day was a special race for the Scaleauto LMPs. These cars raced two weeks ago in the 4 Hr. Scaleauto LMP enduro on this same track. Hector Gonzalez was 1st, Todd Ullery was 2nd and Tim Fleenor was 3rd. The "Racer Handicap" podium had Gonzo 1st, Todd 2nd and Mike Sheridan 3rd.

The next D3 Hardbody race is the 4 Hour GTP enduro on this track, Sunday April 27th.
