It's a long video but I don't think too many of the viewers here will mind.

I visted Mark a few years back and can testify his collection is essentially mind-blowing.

Great video. I've known Mark for a while. Such an interesting man. I love his somewhat wry, British style sense of humor. Mark has often bailed me out when I needed a missing part for some old slot car. Generous to a fault. I have never had the honor of viewing his collection, but I knew it was quite extensive. What isn't always obvious is his extensive knowledge of all things in the toys world, slot cars, models, trains.

Every once in a while, when I was a kid, I would get a present for birthday or Christmas, that I thought was stupendous. One year, I got the model of the Long Tom cannon and transporter, from a relative who was in the Army. He stayed after the party, and we assembled it together. Until 3 am the next morning. I treasured that model. Seeing an assembled one in this video brought back that memory.

Good luck, Mark, in weeding out that collection into what you want to part with. With a move coming up, I'm going through the same thing. Not easy.

His collection reminded me of the basement of Hall's Hardware in Columbus, back in the late 1960s-early 70s. Everything was stacked everywhere! There was a small opening (approx. 2' x 3') in one of the stacks where you paid for your purchase. I miss those days.

I am not a doctor, but I played one as a child with the girl next door.

It's been almost ten years since I visited Mark to tour his incredible collection and if you don't remember the thread I posted about it, here's a link to it.
