HI SAM, this a ruleset developed with Dennis and Tim to establish some parity with the two versions of this rtr car. We'll see... if you can't open this file text me again. 

 

We plan to run again with Retro at Electric Dreams in May...

GENERAL

1/24 MID AMERICA Turbo-flex Audi DTM RTR w/3000KB Brushless

Motor. To be Raced as supplied by manufacturer with minimal

intervention by owner/driver.

1. DIMENSIONS

Minimum ground clearance under axle/chassis

between rear tires (including spur gear)

0.062-inches

Minimum rear tire diameter, measured at start

of race

0.720-inches

Maximum width, excluding tape and body pins 3.267-inches

2. BODY

a. Single body class. MID AMERICA 1/24 AUDI DTM Model

number: MID 963.

i. Driver not required

ii. Bodies must be fully painted

iii. The body must cover the entire chassis when

looking down from top.

iv. Tape or Lexan reinforcement encouraged.

v. Windows must be indicated by clear masking or

contrasting paint or stickers.

vi. Sticker front wheels required.

vii. Round lane sticker to be applied between the

front edge of the car and the front edge of the

windshield.

3. MOTORS AND CONTROL BOARDS – Approved, as delivered with RTR

cars supplied by Mid-America

a. DoSlot 3000kV with any color DoSlot control board

b. Parma PAR1302 3000kV with MID13000 Remora control

board

c. Modifications or balancing NOT ALLOWED.

4. CHASSIS

a. 1/24 Champion Turbo-Flex Steel Chassis 4" WB Model

number: C420, or Mid-America Genesis MID-219

i. Minimal grinding of axle uprights permitted to

level axle. May resolder rear bushings for

alignment purposes only

ii. Flattening of chassis components permitted

iii. Deburring permitted

iv. Extra bracing NOT ALLOWED

v. Pin mounting tubes and guide wire holders,

permitted.

vi. May retain body clips

b. BUSHINGS/BEARINGS

i. Oilite or bronze bushing only

ii. Ball or roller bearings NOT ALLOWED

c. GUIDE

i. RED Mid America MID 130-1 or MIDC 130

ii. Graphite Mid America MID 131-1 or MIDC 131-1

iii. Weighted guides are NOT ALLOWED

iv. Braid and wire are open

d. GEARS

i. 64 PITCH only, as supplied with original cars

ii. Pinion 12 tooth maximum

iii. Spur 36 tooth minimum

e. AXLES

i. 3/32” solid axles only

f. TIRES, & WHEELS

i. Wheel hub and rubber, open to any commercially

available compound and wheel

5. HAND CONTROLLER

a. May use any commercially available controller intended

for slotcar use, if the controller uses no batteries

or additional power sources to increase or regulate

voltage or amperage at the track braid.
