A poor designer took inspiration from a retro model of the late Tony P.

the idea is to use the front axle suspension structure "in reverse" to ensure minimal front pan oscillation..

..this thing will be bolted to the front pillow block holder with the original springs inside to ensure minimal play.
It will eventually be welded to the side of the main rail hinged into the frame...
...it should work as a "sui generis" iso-fulcrum...(independent pans)

Motor parts:
I stripped the can so as to eliminate the stupid stock bearing, I will use an adapter for a 6mm bearing;
another adapter for a 5mm bearing will go in the endbell(snap fit).
I prepared the shunts by twisting two strands taken from a lead wire, with a very thin file I created the space in the carbon brushes.
This bad boy arm (43T, #28) has a diameter of .588 I think it will turn comfortably inside the arco 33 magnets...

Maurizio, I love your thread (pun intended) because I love the steam punk look of hand made brass fabrication combined with exactingly manufactured chassis parts. That said, your photography is amazing which is something I've always thought about Rick's threads as well. The two of you certainly set a high bar in this regard!
