I've got a ProSlot Speed FX motor that has an armature marked "DS16,"  That's a designation that I'm not familiar with and brings up the question is it a 16D or a S16D or something else. I checked the Pro Slot website and it doesn't show anything with this designation. The arm is dyed yellow like a Pro Slot arm but of course that's no guarantee as to it's make or model. I don't remember how I got this motor (so that's no help) but I do seem to remember a class called "D Spec 16" a long time ago. I did run it up on my power supply and it really revs so my first thought is it's a S16D but sound can be deceiving.

Can anyone give me some info concerning this armature?

Thanks in advance!

Jay, there is a 2017 Slotblog thread asking the same question. Some said it was a special tag for some series. Dave Parotta said he has one and it measures and meters as a 16D. He also said it could be a drag arm.

Looks like it is 16D length. S16D the stack is shorter. :)
