One last blast to promote the upcoming HOPRA annual nationals!  All is set, tracks are being prepared, final thrashing and sleepless nights in progress!

 

HOPRA founding father Carl Dreher has booked rooms and some of his iconic equipment and publications are being placed in a special “Golden Anniversary” auction.

Racers,

 

I just shipped five of my HO controllers to the HOPRA Nats that will be available as demo controllers for any racer who wants to try one or who needs to borrow a controller because theirs is having issues. Just borrow one and please return it when you are done. They will be at my display table in the pit area at the nats. They all have 1/2 black and 1/2 yellow handles for easy identification. One of each model from my two-wire DD505 $89.98 to my top of the line DD531 model $288 with coast and choke features.

 

I also donated about $1,900 in merchandise and prize certificates to be awarded to the participants. 

 

The controllers will be there Monday and I will arrive Wednesday so please find me and say hello.

Huge thanks to Mark Rosenwinkel for his huge effort to gather so much HOPRA history from 50+ years ago and to connect with so many of the racers from the early years. His efforts will make the 50th HOPRA National Championships a truly special event!
