I was kind of disappointed at how small a 'celebration' is turned out to be. There were two cars that were brought in that I thought I'd share with the site. There should have been a 409 Chevy, a 413 MoPar, and a fuel-injected Corvette there also.

I guess I'm not surprised. Some of my best days were when I was a teenager. The things we did. The things we got away with. The social environment at the high schools has changed. It is no longer harmless pranks. It's gang activity, death and destruction. The music doesn't help. The violent video games don't either. Cell phones have extended their horizons. They now have global connectivity. City funding for youth programs has been drastically reduced.
I think that if I was going to raise a family, it would have to be in a rural area. Possibly even on a farm. Too much of the "keeping up with the Jones's" near the cities. Parents are having to work too many hours to make the money they need to buy more stuff.

I never had children but if I had I would have exited the "Big City". Small towns have their own problems, mostly with Meth and all that surrounds it so I'm not so sure about rural areas either.
I agree on music and video games. The games in earlier times were cartoonish but these new games are too realistic.
