I made a gaussmeter today. it works perfectly.
On C-can motors it is important for the magnets to be matched and to know which are the strongest tips before installing.

Very good.
I tried to do this a few years ago, but didn't have much success.

I expect I could build it now with a bit more experience under my belt.
In the end, after getting a bit frustrated, I just bought one for around $110. So weigh the effort vs. the cost.

Here is the circuit diagram, parts list, and instructions.
I deleted the meter because it is not accurate and just went with using a multimeter.
Cost was $30 AUD.
