Palouse Slots finished their fourth race of the retro summer series Saturday June 28th. We had 13 racers on the roster and would like to give a shout out to Zane and Reid Overholt first time racers at Palouse Slots. At ages 11 and 9 they were real gentlemen on and off track, awesome corner marshals and racers. Their father Chance Overholt owns K. F. Slot Shop in Richland Washington.
The racing was hot, but the air conditioner kept the racers cool throughout the day. We started out with Stock car on red track. Robert Clements of Moscow Id was on a mission and clicked off 151 laps to take first. Chance Overholt of Richland WA (K.F. Slot shop) was challenging Robert for the tie but got tangled up in traffic and came in second with 150 laps. Track owner Leroy Sanders took 3rd place with 140 laps. John Wimett (Masters / Pasco WA) came in 4th with 137 laps.
Next class up F-1 on Ken’s track.
After finishing 2nd in Stock car Chance Overholt (Richland WA) was not going to be denied 1st place in F-1. Chance finished in 1st place with 118 laps, putting Robert Clements in 2nd place with 110 laps. Tim Gray of Richland WA beat out Tom Sunday (Masters/Pasco WA) in a tie bye a few feet to take 3rd place putting Tom Sunday in 4th place.
It was time for lunch of Tacos, rice, beans and dessert of Angel food cake strawberries and blueberries covered in whipped cream.
Next class: Can-Am red track.
Chance Overholt (Richland WA) laid down some smooth consistent laps to take 1st place with 153 laps. John Wimett (Masters/Pasco) came in 2nd with 147 laps with Robert Clements coming in 3rd place with 143. Track owner Leroy Sanders rounding out 4th place with 142 laps.

Chance Overholt (Richland WA) once again taking the 1st place position with 120 laps. Paul Dwyer of Spokane WA coming in 2nd place beating out Tom Sunday (Masters/Pasco) bye a couple feet to break the tie putting Tom Sunday in 3rd place with 118 laps.
