Let's start this party early.
I'd like to see the spec gear rule in LMP go to spec pinion only. Let's take one of the training wheels off these cars, and allow the racers to change out the spur gear if they choose. Nothing like allowing a racer to tinker with the car.
I'd like to see the Mosseti Death Dagger 'Legacy' center section added to the approved center sections. I haven't read on Slotblog or Slot Car Talk of a single person injured by this center section. Let's put our big boy pants on and get this center section approved.
In GTP, we all know the fastest body hands down are the RTR bodies. I'd like to see the Mid-America Max Speed replace the current Mid-America Evolution or be added to the approved body list. I used this body in a race and it was faster than the Evolution, it will at least give the RTR a run for its money. The RTR bodies are fast as we all know; 95% of the podium finishers run them.
Who else has some ideas in the FSCS?
I'd also like to see all FSCS raceways open the doors at 7 AM before the race to allow for tuning. If people are going to travel three+ hours away to race, I would think it's within a reasonable accommodation to have the track open at 7 AM so the traveling races have time to tune there cars. The current 1.5 hours of time at many raceways is pressing. Or if the track isn't opening until 8 AM, then the track shouldn't be turned on until 8 AM. I have gone to a couple races over the last two years and there's a 8 AM open time and I get there 10 minutes early and the track is hot and people are already practicing.
Let's talk about the raceways owners responsibility to providing a clean track within two weeks of the race. Is that reasonable?

I kinda like the gear rule for NASCAR and LMP, yes it takes away some tuning ability but it helps keep the field competitive and let's face it the fast guys will be fast with or without a gear rule. That being said if we are keeping the gear rule or goto a spec pinion for NASCAR and/or LMP can we have the weight rule match so new racers (or some of us lazy racers LOL) can run the same car with just a body swap?
As far as GTP, I'd like to see a faster motor.
My biggest question is what would it take to get the Viper Pit on the schedule?

I'm not fully versed in the motor game I just run what the rules say to run. I'll leave that call up to smarter men than me LOL.

Well, Mike, I can almost guarantee you we aren't going to have faster motors in GTP. But we might be able to have faster cars in LMP, if we can get an open spur gear in LMP, we could run a lower gear ratio to recycle tires from NASCAR to LMP.
We would be able to true are tires after NASCAR and stick them b**ches on our LMP. The track might change and we might need a different tire compound, but there's times when the same tire works in both classes.
I'm just doing my part to minimize the carbon footprint my slot car racing game has on this beautiful planet. It has nothing to do with the cost of tires as many are probably thinking.

An impromptu race has been scheduled at the Viper Pit for Sunday, August 10. Short notice but we thought it OK to fill a gap in the FSCS schedule. See viperpitraceway.com.
