Palouse Slots and Hobbies had their fifth retro race of the season this Saturday July 26th.
We were a little lite on the roster with eight racers due to some prior engagements and some of the Richland Washington boys racing the Retro Challenge at Duffy’s slot car Raceway in Evans Colorado. Palouse Slots would like to wish Chance Overholt, Tom Sunday, Randy Sides the best of Luck representing the Northwest.
We started off with Stock car on Kens track.
Robert Clements of Moscow Idaho led the charge to set the bar at 115 laps and held it for 1st place. Track owner Leroy Sanders took 2nd place with 112 laps. Tim Gray from Richland Washington came in 3rd place with 109 laps. John Mattoon Pullman Washington rounded out 4th place with 107 laps.
Next class up F-1 on the red track.
Robert Clements Moscow Idaho had his F-1 on rails as he clipped off 145 laps to take 1st place. John Mattoon of Pullman Washington came in 2nd place with 135 laps. Leroy Sanders came in 3rd place with 131 laps with Dave Cuellar of Pullman Washington coming in 4th place with 128 laps.
The lunch break of B.B.Q, pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, ranch beans, chips and Huckleberry ice cream. Everyone was in the food coma for the next race.

John Matoon of Pullman Washington was able to fight off Robert Clements and take 1st place with 116 laps putting Robert in 2nd place with 115 laps. Leroy Sanders came in 3rd place with 112 laps with Paul Dwyer of Spokane Washington in 4th place with 105 laps.

A big surprise to everyone, even Tim Gray from Richland Washington as he ripped off some fast lap times to edge out Robert Clements Moscow Idaho by a few feet to break the tie to take 1st place with 147 laps. Robert Clements in 2nd place with 147 laps. Leroy Sanders in 3rd place with 144 laps. Paul Dwyer of Spokane took 4th place with 140 laps.
