I restored this Matich-bodied slot car which I think has "the look." Rick identified the body as a low and wide Lancer Super Comp version or a Riggen "Brimhall."
The car was well-used, and the body needed cracks and holes filled. Missing decals were replaced. The 26D anglewinder chassis was originally built fairly straight. Solder joints were repaired, and the floppy pan mounts were repaired/replaced. Modern rubber replaced the dried-out blue rear tires. The front tires were found to be of two sizes and were replaced with new trued tires. The 26D motor has a home rewound armature. Time for a track test.
