After the Friday night JK Spec class, for which the top-tier racers were ineligible, there was a race for the to-tier guys along with any of the racers who made the JK Spec podium. The main purpose for this race was to give out-of-town racers some trigger time on Chicagoland's tough and challenging flat track. Tech was cursory, with no tech sheet required. This race does not figure into the Sano winner computation.
Thirteen racers entered, including three for the JK Spec race. Since some of the podium guys from the JK Spec choose not to move into this race, Mike elected to allow the highest-placing JK Spec racers who did want to "move-up" to do so. A thirteen-man round robin format was selected.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap
