It'll be tomorrow night at the earliest before we'll be able to finish the coverage, after our 12 hour drive home. I hate it, too, but that's the way it has to be...

The crew from FastLane Raceway made it home safely with only one glitch: Rick Hinton left his Can-Am car in the impound area.
Thanks again to everyone who made this event a great success.

We found the car late last night. We were able to figure out who owned it by checking Cheater's camera pics. I marked it and put it behind the counter. PM me or MSwiss with an address we can send it to.
Thanks again for the great participation from your track. I hope you all had a good time.

Great job on the race by race reporting thanks. Next year enjoy the race and post it later. You need to sit back and enjoy the whole weekend. I know how much work it must be.
Thanks!

That's assuming that that old pile you drive is not going to break down under your laptop extra avoirdupois with all those pics you took...It'll be tomorrow night at the earliest before we'll be able to finish the coverage, after our 12 hour drive home. I hate it, too, but that's the way it has to be...

Can't wait to see the remaining photos. Great job again, Cheater, and everyone else who help provide almost live coverage.

We were done racing by about 11:15 on both Saturday & Sunday nights.Did anyone even leave the raceway? Sounds like a lot of racers were had a controller in hand from Friday afternoon right through till Sunday night. This looks like it was the best retro race of the year.
With Friday's racing starting in the evening and JK Spec race having 30 entries, the "Pro" warm-up afterwards ran to about midnight.

I was able to get Rick's car shipped earlier today. You should see it by Wednesday.Da*n Well Done!! Both the coverage and the race weekend. The crew from FastLane Raceway made it home safely with only one glitch, Rick Hinton left his Can-Am car in the impound area. Thanks again to everyone who made this event a great success.

I'll get cracking on finishing the coverage tomorrow evening, as well as start posting pics (I took probably 800-900 shots and have only posted some of the mug shots so far). Shontel and Eddy took a lot of the same pics I did and it's gonna save me a lot of time not posting my duplicates. Thanks, guys!
Sano II was, if anything, almost too successful. I'm not sure anyone can put on a better slot car racing event. Certainly Mike couldn't top the food he served us on Saturday and Sunday. Not every race can feature a unique event, like the triumphant return of a true slot racing legend like Howie Ursaner. Growth in attendance of 100 plus percent over the previous event probably can't be sustained. And by Sunday night, everyone was pretty exhausted; dunno if we could have withstood the onslaught of another ten racers over the program.
The Sano is an event that will be talked about and studied for years to come. If you didn't come, you're should kick yourself pretty hard.

"I'm make repeated applications" ???Butch, the next time I see you I'll be more than happy to plant one of my size 11s firmly on your posterior. In fact, I'm make repeated applications so you won't forget about missing Sano II.
Is that some sort of secret caveman dialect you use to communicate with Pappy?
You still must be tired.
BTW, along with your's wife's USB cable, I'll be sending you an invoice for your four-day workout at Chicagoland Raceway & Health Club.

And sending an invoice for the workout is fine by me. It was 30 degrees here this morning, so I'm about to get the fireplace going. I always need something to help start the wood burning... LOL!!!

You better start whipping yourself into shape for Sano III.
If you can't keep up with me after I just got done with a big wedding and a cross country drive on my honeymoon, you have 0.00% chance of it doing next year when I assume I won't be getting married again.

Aw, come on. We were out of the shop by 12:30 every night.I am going to have to bring my nurse and IVs next year. It is going to take me to Thursday to recover.
IMHO, Sano II was like a paid vacation.
But then again, I'm a wing racer.

Noose and Ray put some shots down. They saluted Jay at least three shots worth, not to mention, Mike, Howie, Dennis, and whoever they could actually remember.
