Hey,

I thought I would mess around with getting some retro logos for our Northwest Retro Racing League. Let me know how you like them.

Nice!
But, you are almost there.... try a black circle inside of the lettering with the white car then silhouetted.
Won't matter if the nose and tail hang outside of the black. Might be cooler and reproduce better.

Being a Texan, I am biased towards the Chaparral. Of course, if you were to GIVE me a Ferrari, I'd take it!

Jairus,

I tried that with the black already. It looks really good. These are the only ones I posted. I figured everyone would like the Chaparral II and also Ferrari 312P. I've got alot, like the McLaren, Lotus, etc. that can slip in there and look good. I prefer the Chaparral II one because I want to make some thing else out of it.

I like them. I guess my preference would be the first, because of the Chaparral. I'll have to come over and race with everyone sometime next year.

Be good,

Keith

Keith,

We race mostly D3 rules. We have a race around the first Saturday of February in Spokane. I'm sure you would be welcomed. Its always nice to have new racers.

Don --

They look great! I admit a bias toward the first one also. Great job.

The flag is a good addition, but this is what I was suggesting...

That's just a suggestion, you can do whatever you want. :)

Jairus,

Now I understand what you were talking about. Looks great!! You know those old CanAm cars look good anyway they are displayed, especially racing around a slot car track. I really like the retros.

Now shrink it down to about 1 or two inches square and see how all of the fine lines and detail on the car reproduce. I say this because you might want to use this logo on plaques, decals/stickers for cars and other small size applications. If it doesn't work, you might want to consider simplifying the design of the car, perhaps making the outside line of the car much thicker so it will pop off of the background.

In logo design, less is always more.

Yours in legibility,
Durl

Not that my opinion matters, but I would replace the Ferrari with the Chaparral in the second example (I like the script better). I think all that black does is cost more and take away from the car. KISS

Go figure I like the Ferrari one the best. Would like to see the Ferrari done with the black like Jarius did
