The word "sano" comes to mind... would I be using it correctly to describe this car?

Red and white go well together with a bit of brass.

Another nice chassis! I like this car even better than I did the Pontiac. Chris, are the numbers & lettering someone's decals rather than paint? Anyone know if the 47 back then was a Woods Brother's car, same as it is today? I realize the 47 moved to the Race Hill Farms Team in 1977 or 78 with Geoff Bodine & later to a team with Ron Bouchard driving. :)

Very nice - are you going to race it?

What wheels, tires, and inserts have been used?

Thank you guys!

Dennis, the wheels, tires, inserts and side-wall decals all come from Maxi Models through Professor Motor.

Even though I included a link to where I got them, I do have to say that I am disappointed at the customer service I received from Max direct.

Professor Motor always does well for me but once they let a set of Max's tires go out the door with defects. I contacted Max direct asking for replacements and he took 30 days to respond to my email. The payment was sent for another set of wheels and tires plus the replacement tires more than two months ago and they have yet to be received. A friend in the U.K. has been contacting Max via phone, email, and letter to patchy response. My friend says that if Max were any more laid back he would fall over!

Think I will be looking for another source for wheels and tires... maybe Racer?

Hi Chris,

Beautiful work as always! Is the cockpit original?

Very nice!

That is from NASCAR's glory days! The cars being raced looked like the cars we drove and they had STYLE! :)

Yes, that is the original cockpit tray. The body, tray, bumpers, driver head, and roll bar all were in a sealed package when I got it. I just fabricated a chassis and sourced the bits to make it run.

The motor rests against two bumps molded under the cockpit tray (for venting the motor) just as the original engineers designed it so the car is as low as it can be without modifications.

Interesting! Chris is very political for a Brit. I think he replaced all his pictures with that temporarily.
